Fine dining redefined for the Lebanese market. Dark cream and burgundy with gold

Ikigai is a fine dining restaurant that needed a site matching the precision and intentionality of its tasting menus. The design challenge was to convey luxury without falling into cliché.
We started with the typography: Cormorant Garamond at 9vw for headlines, paired with Lato and Playfair Display for body and labels. The palette is restrained — dark cream (#faf8f5), burgundy (#5c1a1a), and gold (#c9a961). Nothing fights for attention.
The signature feature is a rotating glow animation on the hero headline — a subtle lime/gold ring that rotates slowly behind the restaurant name, giving the page a sense of quiet movement. The reservation form is the focal point of the page, designed to reduce friction and increase bookings.
