An elegant editorial café experience from Batroun. Very dark green with a forest aesthetic

Cafemate operates in Batroun, a coastal town in Lebanon known for its craft food scene. They wanted a site that felt like the town itself: unhurried, creative, and slightly outside the mainstream.
The very dark green (#080d0a) background was a bold call — most cafés default to cream or white. But it works: the forest aesthetic sets Cafemate apart immediately. Cormorant Garamond at large scale gives the headlines a literary weight that matches their curated coffee menu.
We built a full-page scroll experience with pinned sections and a subtle animated grain overlay. The menu section uses a masonry-style layout that mirrors how their physical menu is designed.
